Another Winter Storm

Well it’s the 1st of March, and they are forecasting another winter storm this weekend.  Yet another 4-10 inches of snow.  Frankly speaking I don’t mind. I have no plans that involve driving, I’ve been to the grocery and have enough milk and cereal to keep the kids fed, so I’m good to go.  In fact, I plan to treat this weekend like a quilting event.  I’ve gone through some pictures of quilts I’ve done and thought, “Hey, I like that one.”  So….I”m planning to make another!  (I’d given the first one I made away).  Fortunately I have plenty of fabric (what die hard quilter doesn’t), I have the thread, and happily even the long arm to complete it.  See you all on the other side of our anticipated snow storm!

Happy customer quilts

Well, I learned how to add a new Gallery page to the website.  While it turned out it was extremely simple to do, courtesy of my super-smart brother-in-law, had I to figure it out myself I would have been here weeks, at least.  But happily, it is here now and published.  Check out the new tab, ” Happy customer quilts”.  OK.  Stop the presses.  Just realized that while I have a new section, I have not given it a new tab…So much for simple!  OK then, back to the website manager!!

Good morning all

Good morning all.  I’ve learned managing a website is not as easy as one might think!  It’s almost like a living entity. I must feed it daily for it to grow. So my goal for today is to add some new photos of recent projects. Now the question is, how do I do that?  I have the instructions handy, my camera by my side, and even have the cable to link it to my computer. I’ve also begun creating the patterns to place.  So, as they say, onward and upward!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year.  I hope all of you had a great celebration and are on your way to fulfilling your Resolutions.  It’s my goal to begin filming and posting some How-To videos on various topics for beginning quilters, such as proper fabric preparation, cutting and the value of a 1/4″ seam.  Keep coming back, and look for exciting additions!

Welcome to my blog!

Today is my first time blogging, so just goes to show you never stop learning.  Please hang in there with me as I learn the ropes. I am in the process of updating my website, which is long over due, and yet another learning process.  I’m adding some fun, and I hope, interesting,  patterns for you to try, free of charge.  They should be coming soon.  I’m also expanding my services to include making memory quilts for you.  The tab for that should also be up and running sometime in the near future. Looking forward to blogging with you
